This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit akbrandsmarketing.com, use our forms, or contact us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using our website or sending us your details, you accept this policy.

Our services are meant for businesses and adults aged 18 and above.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you give us

  • Sell and Auction enquiry forms: your name, mobile number, and any details you choose to add, such as the type, quantity and description of your stock and your city.
  • WhatsApp, phone and email: when you contact us, we receive your WhatsApp number or phone number, your name if shown, and the content of your messages. This includes the lot number and details of any lot you ask about or book.
  • Business information you share to complete a booking or a sale, such as your business name, delivery address, and GST details for invoicing.

2.2 Information collected automatically

We use Google Analytics to understand how our website is used. It records technical and usage information such as the pages and lots you open, the buttons you tap (for example, Book on WhatsApp), your device and browser type, the website you came from, and your approximate location based on your IP address. This is done using cookies and similar technologies. We do not send your name or phone number to Google Analytics.

2.3 What we do not collect on this website

This website does not take online payments, and we do not ask you for card details, bank passwords or one-time passwords on it. Please never share these with anyone claiming to represent us.

3. How we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiry and to call or message you about it.
  • To process lot bookings, coordinate payment, dispatch and delivery, and issue invoices.
  • To handle claims and support requests under our Buyer Protection Plan.
  • To keep our website secure and to understand and improve how it is used.
  • To meet our legal, tax, accounting and record-keeping duties, and to protect our rights if there is a dispute.

We contact you only about your enquiry or transaction. We do not send you unrelated marketing without a way for you to say no.

4. WhatsApp

Much of our business is done on WhatsApp. WhatsApp is provided by Meta, and your use of it is also covered by WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy. Our WhatsApp community has its own rules, which are shared when you join. Members of a WhatsApp community may be able to see each other’s names or numbers, depending on the community settings.

5. Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them for Google Analytics, as described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the website may still work, but our analytics will then be less accurate. Google also offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.

6. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

  • Our team: the team member assigned to your lot or enquiry, so that they can contact you.
  • Service providers who help us run the website and our business: Google (Firebase database and Google Analytics), Meta (WhatsApp), and GitHub (website hosting). They process information on our behalf under their own terms and security measures.
  • Logistics partners: couriers and transporters, who receive the delivery details needed to deliver your order.
  • Authorities and advisers: where the law requires, or to our legal, tax and accounting advisers.
  • A buyer of our business, if our business is ever sold or merged, subject to this policy.

7. Where your information is stored, and how long we keep it

Information you submit through our forms is stored in a secured database provided by Google (Firebase) that only our authorised administrator can open. Our providers may process information on servers outside India. We use reasonable security measures, but no method of storing or sending information over the internet is completely secure.

We keep your information for as long as it is needed to respond to you, complete and support your transaction, and meet our legal and record-keeping duties. After that, we delete or anonymise it.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop contacting you. You may also withdraw any consent you have given. To do this, email us at abdul@akbrandsmarketing.com from the email address you used with us, or message us on WhatsApp from the number you used. We may need to confirm who you are first. We will respond within a reasonable time. Some information may have to be kept where the law requires it.
